15th Day of Soncek
THE SUN OF SONCEK
- Point of respect -
WITH THE SUN OF SONCEK we are trying to show what can be done by a single person.and maybe that the general society - mainly the "office" society - is not sufficiently aware of that.
The first SUN OF SONCEK was given to Mrs. Stasja Mehora who filled with enthusiasm hundreds of young people to get involved in gymnastics, sports. If it was not for Mrs. Stasja.
The second SUN OF SONCEK went to Dejan Testen - a kayak coach from Most na Soci. In many small towns and villages in Slovenia, such as Most na Soci, nothing much is happening for the young. In Most na Soci, young people are highly enthusiastic about kayaking and are very successful, also in the world scale. If it was not for Dejan.
The third SUN OF SONCEK is shining very brightly. It went to the teaching and professional staff from the SOS Children's Village in Sarajevo.
The fourth SUN OF SONCEK was given to Branko Brezigar from the Kayak Club SE Nova Gorica. Without his hard work, kayaking in Primorska region and in Slovenia would be poorly developed. He also helps a lot to SC Soncek with his experience, knowledge, etc.
The SUN OF SONCEK of 2009 has been shining in the world for a long time. It was given to a world-famous TV producer Beno Hvala who has filled with enthusiasm the young people in schools, by showing his sports films. In December, this sun will be shining in Gorisko.
The SUN OF SONCEK of 2010 was given to an excellent basketball player from Gorenjska region Dragisa Drobnjak. He has been attending our events for the whole decade. Unlike many of his colleagues from the team, Dragisa always responds to our invitations and to the invitations of his fans. His visits always make the staff of SC Soncek and, above all, the children, very happy.WAY TO GO, DRAGISA!
Since this is the jubilee year of Soncek, the SUN OF SONCEK of 2011 will stay at home.the members of Soncek can do hours of volunteer work, we can work with great enthusiasm and love, with a lot of will and great wishes.
But. Without its help...
